Establish Your Own Scholarship
Individuals may donate to existing scholarship funds or establish their own designated fund for the purpose of awarding scholarships to CUHS graduating seniors. Scholarships are a great way to honor an individual by establishing the scholarship fund in that person's name. Scholarships may also be established to recognize specific fields of study or needs. Endowed funds may be established with a $10,000 or more contribution. Columbus Community Foundation Board of Directors recommends only the principle and dividends earned by the fund be awarded each year. To establish the guidelines for your designated fund, CCF recommends working with your financial advisor and/or estate planner and a representative of the Foundation. Columbus Community Foundation has several recommendations which would allow your fund to grow while still contributing each year to scholarship awards.
